Sixty-two of the most accomplished Jews in America speak intimately—most for the first time—about how they feel about being Jewish. In unusually candid interviews, celebrities ranging from Sarah Jessica Parker to Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, from Larry King to Mike Nichols, reveal how resonant, crucial or incidental being Jewish is in their lives.

Last year's Lion of Judah Luncheon event was held on Thursday, March 31, 2005 the Jewish Federation of Las Vegas/United Jewish Community held their annual Lion of Judah Luncheon with special guest speaker, Dr. Deborah Lipstadt.  The event co-chairs were Margaret Maul, Faye Steinberg, Rachel Ventura and Sandra White.  A record breaking 61 women attended the event held at the beautiful Bouchon at the Venetian Hotel Resort Casino.  Internationally renowned author, Dr. Lipstadt detailed her newest book, “History on Trial, My Day in Court with David Irving”.  She recounted her recent trial in London where she was sued for libel for labeling known Holocaust denier David Irving as such.  Her victory in this trial was not only a victory for the International Jewish Community but for all mankind.  The Lion of Judah is an internationally known symbol of women’s philanthropy that requires a minimum gift of $5,000 to the Jewish Federation annual campaign.  For more information please call Federation at 702-732-0556.
